Join us for Our Earth Week in 2026!

This year is a bit special – Our Earth Week will be five years old this November! Once again we are collaborating with the Natural History Consortium who produce the UK’s largest free Nature festival – the Festival of Nature.

Our theme this year is Forests and Trees, so even though that’s not all we’ll talk about, our beloved trees and forests will have a special focus throughout the week. We only have to think about the reaction to the lone Sycamore tree felled at Hadrian’s Wall to remember how attached so many of us are to our trees, so no doubt there will be lots to talk about, not leasat of which is all the ways in which trees support life on earth.

Our Earth Week is fun and important. If you want to take part but think you don’t know anything about the environment (you do) then don’t worry – there will be lots of help on hand with ideas for things to talk about and to do. Plus a great music playlist to choose from, and lots of brilliant ready made audio to use.

If you would like your station to take part this year, please email crenuk1@gmail.com
